Grant Name: Hampton E-Commerce Grant
Amount Awarded:
- Grants to non-minority owned business shall not exceed 50% of the total project cost up to a maximum of $10,000, once every three years.
- Grants to minority-owned businesses shall not exceed 60% of the total project cost up to a maximum of $10,000, once every three years.
- Funding is subject to appropriation and grants are made on a first-come, first served basis.
How This Grant Works:
Small business owners with a Hampton business license are eligible for receiving a matching grant for their website. The grant covers new web development for Hampton businesses.
To Qualify You Must Be:
- Must be a for-profit business currently licensed in and with its principal office located within the City of Hampton.
- Grants are made on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to funding availability.
- Projects must be legal, no adult only material, ethical, and commercially viable.
- Applicants must use a preapproved Certified E-Commerce Grant Service Providers.
- Grants are to be used for the creation or enhancement of e-commerce sites and cannot be used for domain registration, web hosting, general maintenance services, or annual subscriptions.
- Grant funds cannot be awarded for a project which has been initiated prior to the approval of a grant application.

Grant Name: Farm Grants
Grant Name: 2012 Technical Assistance For Meat Production and Processing Business
Amount Awarded: Farmers who have completed business plans with the program are eligible for grants towards capital expenses or additional technical support needed in implementing the business plan, when funding is available.
How This Grant Works:
Thanks to funding from the Vermont Agricultural Innovation Center at the Agency of Agriculture, the Vermont Farm Viability Program is offering specialized technical assistance to Vermont farmers and businesses involved in the production or processing of Vermont-raised meat. This program can help you with:
- Increasing meat production or processing
- Expanding from seasonal to year-round production
- Eliminating processing bottlenecks
- Marketing to increase sales or change markets
- New enterprise development
- Business/financial management to improve profitability
To Qualify You Must Be:
- You must be a Vermont resident.
- You must have at least 3 years of experience managing a farm or processing business.
- Your business must have produced at least $10,000 of gross income in the most recent tax year.

Company: City of Durham's Office of Economic and Workforce Development
Grant Name: The Sign and Façade Grant Program
Amount Awarded: Shall not exceed $2,500 for the signage portion of a grant and $5,000 overall. In no case shall the incentive exceed 50 percent of total project cost.
How This Grant Works:
The objective of the program is to assist business owners and improve the pedestrian experience by enhancing the visibility and appearance of businesses through signage and façade improvements that are physically, historically and architecturally compatible with relevant design guidelines applicable within the Community Development Area (CDA) outside Downtown Durham, including targeted corridors and targeted areas within the Urban Growth Area (UGA).
To Qualify You Must Be:
- Proposed projects must be within the CDA outside the Downtown Development Tier, including targeted corridors and targeted areas within the UGA. To determine whether a project is within an eligible geographic location, use the mapping tool.
- The property owner must attest to non-delinquent property taxes for the property address where the sign will be installed (declare to be true that the property taxes have been paid to the current date).
- The property owner and/or tenant will be responsible for the maintenance of the signage for a period of five years from the project completion or until such time as the building is sold or the tenant changes.
- Depending on the type and size of sign to be installed and the location of your building, you may be required to obtain any or all of the following from the City of Durham: sign permit, electrical permit, and/or certificate of appropriateness (if needed).
- Façade improvements must be consistent with design guidelines, development review, streetscapes and enhancement of the pedestrian experience.
- A current copy of City of Durham Privilege License (Not required at time of application but will be required if awarded funding).

Grant Name: City Matching Grant Program
Amount Awarded: Up to $50,000 per project (or 50% of project cost, whichever is less).
How This Grant Works:
The City Matching Grant Program is designed to help cities reduce their energy spending by providing matching grant dollars for the implementation of energy efficiency projects.
To Qualify You Must Be:
- All city facilities served by an Oncore electric meter are eligible to participate in the program.
Expires: Funding is limited, and grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Grant Name: ReStore Boston
Amount Awarded: $7,500 per storefront
How This Grant Works:
ReStore Boston provides matching grants (up to $7,500 per storefront) to help neighborhood business and property owners complete storefront renovation projects. A separate signage component ($2,000 grants) provides assistance on a non-matching basis for signage improvements. In addition to funding, ReStore Boston provides professional architectural design services at no cost to the business to ensure improvements are well planned and of the highest quality.
To Qualify You Must Be:
- Restoration of exterior finishes/materials
- Repair or replacement of storefront windows and/or doors
- New signage
- Building and sign lighting
- Removal of roll-down grills
- Installation of awnings
Expires: The City reviews grant requests throughout the year.

Company: The Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA)
Grant Name: Arvada Small Business Grant Program
Amount Awarded: Standalone businesses can receive a 50/50 matching grant amount equal to the actual cost of the project, not to exceed $15,000. Shopping centers can receive a 50/50 matching grant amount equal to the actual cost of the project, not to exceed $50,000. Businesses located in a shopping center can receive a 50/50 matching grant for signage alone in an amount equal to the actual cost of the project, not to exceed $4,000.
How This Grant Works:
The Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) recently piloted the Arvada Small Business Grant program designed to support businesses that invest in their business and community. The matching grant program aims to help business and property owners improve commercial buildings, grounds and signage in the City of Arvada, (Metro Denver), Co.
To Qualify You Must Be:
- Arvada businesses must be located in commercially and industrially zoned property within the Arvada city limits. Home-based businesses are not eligible.
- Businesses located in multi-tenant shopping centers are only eligible for signage grants.
- All businesses must have the property owner's written approval before they are eligible for the grant.
- The business must file all completed application information, and all projects must receive approval, prior to beginning improvements.
- All improvements must comply with the City of Arvada codes and ordinances, and the business be in good standing with the City.

Grant Name: The Retail Business Grant Program
Amount Awarded: $10,000
How This Grant Works:
The Retail Business Grant Program is sponsored by the City of Elmhurst for the purpose of strengthening retail business activity in the Central Business District ("CBD"), by attracting new retail businesses to the CBD as well as to assist existing retail businesses in the CBD with retail growth initiatives.
Grants available under the Program at any particular time are subject to the then available funding as budgeted from time to time by the City of Elmhurst within City of Elmhurst Tax Increment Financing District 1 ("TIF 1") .
To Qualify You Must Be:
- A business must be located or locating within certain boundaries,
- Existing businesses in TIF 1 with economic expansion plans,
- Businesses currently located in the City of Elmhurst,
- Must execute a lease for or including a first floor retail space on a public street within TIF 1, of at least a three (3) year duration.
