The Tiffany & Co. Foundation provides grants twice yearly to US nonprofit organizations dedicated to arts education and preservation and to environmental conservation, specifically to projects addressing responsible mining.
To qualify, you must be:
- Must be a U.S.-based, tax-exempt organization with 501(c)(3) status.
- Must also be engaged in work that fits within the Foundation's program guidelines.
Expires: Deadlines for submitting full proposals are November 15 and May 15 each year.

How This Grant Works:
This grant can be used for marketing, advertising, hiring employees, expanding facilities and other specific business needs.
To qualify, you must be:
- Be an NASE Member in good standing,
- Demonstrate a business need that could be fulfilled by the grant,
- Provide a detailed explanation of how you will use the grant proceeds,
- Show how the grant will improve your business growth and success,
- Offer supporting documentation such as a résumé and business plan.

Company: Texas Workforce Commission
Grant Name: The Skills Development Fund
Amount Awarded: Grants for a single business may be limited to $500,000.
How This Grant Works:
A business, consortium of businesses, or trade union identifies a training need, and then partners with a public Community or Technical college to fill its specific needs. Businesses work with college partners to submit proposals, develop curricula and conduct training.
The Skills Development Fund pays for the training, the college administers the grant, and businesses create new jobs and improve the skills of their current workers.
To qualify, you must be:
- Be a private business, business consortium, or trade union in need of workforce training and funding assistance.
Expires: For the next two fiscal years (September 1, 2011 - August 31, 2013).

Company: IFA Educational Foundation and the PepsiCo Foundation
Grant Name: VetFran Business Grant Fund
Amount Awarded: Up to a maximum of $10,000
How This Grant Works:
The purpose of the fund is to assist veterans who have been awarded a franchise through the IFA VetFran program by providing financial grants for business development, education, training, and/or technical assistance.
To qualify, you must be:
- Candidates must have been awarded a franchise from a VetFran participating company.
- Honorable discharge from any branch of the U.S. military or Coast Guard.
- Candidates must have a signed franchise agreement and must have at least one unit in operation, or a letter from their franchisor confirming the opening store and schedule.
- Candidates must submit an application with a current resume, copy of military discharge certificate, name of franchisor, name and location of franchise business.
- 500 word essay describing the need for the grant and purpose for which funds will be used.
- Two letters of recommendation, including one from the franchisor.
